Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a talented and analytical Remote Exploration Geologist to join our innovative exploration team. The role is fully remote and centers on analyzing exploration data to identify and prioritize mineral targets globally.

You will work autonomously and with geologists in the field and data scientists to interpret geological datasets, develop models, and communicate findings to management, influencing global exploration strategies from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or related with emphasis on data analysis.
• 5+ years in mineral exploration with focus on data interpretation and modeling.
• Proficiency in Leapfrog, Vulcan, and GIS platforms.
• Programming skills in Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret large geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to identify new mineral exploration targets.
• Develop and refine geological models using advanced software and statistical techniques.
• Collaborate remotely with field-based geologists to integrate exploration findings with existing data.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing exploration results and recommendations for management.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of data management and analysis workflows.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in exploration technology and data science relevant to mineral exploration.
