Placements24 is seeking a Senior Subsurface Analyst to lead data integration initiatives and maintain robust subsurface databases for exploitation and production decisions. This remote-first role supports cross-disciplinary teams across geoscience and engineering, enabling data-driven exploration in a global context.

The ideal candidate brings a Master’s in a quantitative field and 6+ years of subsurface data experience, with strong SQL/NoSQL, Python, R, and visualization skills, plus

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years in subsurface data management, analysis, or interpretation in Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage integrated subsurface databases and data management systems.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards, validation protocols, and data governance policies.
• Design and build data workflows and tools for integrating geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data.
• Provide training to subsurface teams on data management tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and software teams to enhance data management infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
• Analyze subsurface data to identify trends and insights for exploration and production objectives.
