Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Structural Design Engineer to join their distributed team. You will conduct structural analysis and design for diverse building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, code compliance, and innovative solutions from your home base.
You will collaborate with architects and project teams remotely, produce detailed drawings and reports using ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit Structure, and stay current with SANS 10400 and international codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with specialization.
- Minimum 6 years of professional structural design and analysis experience.
- Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000 and Revit Structure.
- Strong knowledge of steel, concrete and masonry design.
- Excellent problem solving and remote collaboration capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design for diverse projects (buildings and infra).
- Produce drawings, specifications and calculation reports using industry software.
- Collaborate with architects, PMs and construction teams remotely.
- Ensure designs comply with SANS 10400 and relevant codes.
- Perform design checks and provide technical oversight.
- Stay updated on new structural materials, tech, and methods.
