Job summary

Kontak Recruitment partners with a remote game reserve in Kuruman, Northern Cape, to recruit a hands-on Staff Accommodation and Recreation Centre Manager.

You will oversee staff housing and recreation facilities across the reserve, coordinate wellness programs, manage budgets, and lead diverse teams, ensuring safety, comfort and well-being in a challenging, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hospitality, facilities management, or staff accommodation management.
• Strong organisational and people-management skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams.
• Solid administrative ability with reporting, record-keeping, and inventory management.
• Practical knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage all staff accommodation units, communal buildings, and recreational facilities across the reserve.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and comfort standards throughout.
• Coordinate unit allocations, occupancy records, and accommodation moves for staff.
• Liaise with maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure timely repairs and ongoing upkeep.
• Oversee recreational spaces including gyms, sports fields, TV rooms, and social areas.
• Plan and deliver staff wellness and recreation programmes that boost morale and community spirit.
• Ensure all accommodation rules, policies, and health and safety requirements are upheld.
• Manage budgets, stock, and supply procurement for accommodation and recreation operations.
• Supervise cleaners, grounds staff, and recreation assistants to maintain high standards.
• Handle staff queries, complaints, and accommodation-related disciplinary matters with professionalism.
• Maintain accurate inventories, records, and monthly operational reports.
