Kontak Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Staff Accommodation / Recreation Centre Manager for a remote game reserve in Kuruman. You will oversee staff housing, communal spaces, and recreation facilities while ensuring well-being and safety for a diverse team.

The role combines hospitality, facilities management, and people care, with responsibility for budgets, procurement, and monthly reporting. A high degree of adaptability and strong people skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, facilities management, or staff accommodation management.
• Strong organisational and people-management abilities with supervision experience.
• Solid administrative skills with reporting, record-keeping, and inventory management.
• Practical knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance practices.
• Comfortable working and living in a remote wilderness environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all staff accommodation units, communal buildings, and recreational facilities across the reserve.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and comfort standards.
• Coordinate unit allocations, occupancy records, and accommodation moves for staff.
• Liaise with maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure timely repairs and upkeep.
• Oversee recreational spaces including gyms, sports fields, TV rooms, and social areas.
• Plan and deliver staff wellness and recreation programmes to boost morale.
• Ensure all accommodation rules, policies, and health and safety requirements are upheld.
• Manage budgets, stock, and supply procurement for accommodation and recreation operations.
• Supervise cleaners, grounds staff, and recreation assistants to maintain high standards.
• Handle staff queries, complaints, and accommodation-related disciplinary matters professionally.
• Maintain accurate inventories, records, and monthly operational reports.
