Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Sports Event Coordinator to manage and execute a variety of sporting events from a distance. The role focuses on planning, logistics, and stakeholder coordination, all from a fully remote setup to support events across the region.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in event coordination for sports, strong project management, and proficiency with event platforms like Cvent, Eventbrite, Zoom, and Teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in event management, sports management, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating sports events or similar.
• Ability to manage multiple projects remotely while maintaining timelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of sports events including tournaments, workshops, and community sports days.
• Manage all logistics remotely: venue liaison, vendor coordination, and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate communication with participants, stakeholders, sponsors, and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety guidelines, and policies.
• Oversee registration processes, participant management, and virtual/on-site support.
• Conduct post-event analysis and prepare reports on outcomes.
• Manage budgets and process invoices and payments.
• Identify and mitigate risks in event planning and execution.
• Stay up-to-date with event trends in Leisure & Sports.
