Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Specialty Lines Insurance Broker to join our Durban-based client in a fully remote capacity. You will manage commercial client relationships, tailor insurance programs across professional indemnity, cyber, marine, construction, and related lines, and negotiate with underwriters to secure optimal coverage.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance broking, robust knowledge of specialty products, and strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
• NQF 4/5 Short-Term Insurance qualification is essential.
• FAIS accreditation is essential for entry and practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.
• Identify client needs and tailor specialty insurance solutions across lines.
• Source and present competitive quotes from insurers.
• Negotiate terms and pricing with underwriters to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Advise clients on risk management strategies and program design.
• Manage the insurance placement process from consultation to renewal.
• Stay updated on market trends, products, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client service delivery.
• Proactively seek new business opportunities and expand the client base.
