You will manage commercial client relationships, tailor insurance programs across professional indemnity, cyber, marine, construction, and related lines, and negotiate with underwriters to secure optimal coverage.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance broking, robust knowledge of specialty products, and strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
• NQF 4/5 Short-Term Insurance qualification is essential.
• FAIS accreditation is essential for entry and practice.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., NQF Level 4/5 in Short-Term Insurance, FAIS accreditation) are essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance broking, with a significant focus on specialty lines.
• Proven track record of successfully managing commercial client accounts and achieving sales targets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of specialty insurance products (e.g., Professional Indemnity, Cyber, Directors & Officers, Marine, Construction, etc.).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using insurance broking software and CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Understanding of the South African insurance market.
