Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Smart Contract Developer to design, implement, and deploy Solidity-based contracts for DeFi and other blockchain applications. Based in Klerksdorp with potential for remote work, you will ensure secure, efficient code and contribute to the architecture of our blockchain solutions.

Ideal candidates have deep Solidity expertise, experience with Hardhat/Truffle/Foundry, and a strong understanding of security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Proven Smart Contract development experience with deployed contracts.
• Deep expertise in Solidity and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Strong understanding of blockchain principles, cryptography and decentralized systems.
• Experience with development frameworks (Hardhat/Truffle/Foundry).
• Knowledge of ERC standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155).
• Security-focused with familiarity of vulnerability patterns and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement smart contracts on blockchain platforms using Solidity.
• Write secure, gas-efficient, robust contract code.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for contracts.
• Deploy contracts to mainnet and testnets.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to define requirements.
