Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Blockchain Engineer specializing in Smart Contracts to join a distributed team. You will design, develop, test, and deploy secure smart contracts powering DeFi protocols.

This role emphasizes security, efficiency, and collaboration in a remote-first environment. You will work across Ethereum/EVM ecosystems, apply best-practice audits, and contribute to architecture and roadmaps for future DeFi products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development with at least 2 years in smart contract development.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Strong understanding of blockchain principles, cryptography, and DeFi concepts.
• Experience with smart contract frameworks and tools (Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry).
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and security auditing practices for smart contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure smart contracts on blockchain platforms (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon).
• Ensure contracts follow security, gas optimization, and upgradeability best practices.
• Collaborate with product teams to define contract requirements and specs.
• Conduct code reviews and security audits for contract code.
• Troubleshoot and debug contract execution and deployment issues.
• Stay updated with advances in smart contract tech and Solidity.
• Participate in architecture and design of DeFi products and features.
• Contribute to technical strategy and roadmap of blockchain initiatives.
