Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Solar Energy Systems Analyst to join their fully remote team. You will evaluate performance, efficiency, and economic viability of solar projects, analyzing data and modeling system performance to identify optimization opportunities.

The ideal candidate has a numerical background, PV technology knowledge, and can translate findings into actionable insights for project development and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in solar energy systems analysis or a related role.
• Proficiency with solar performance modeling software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of photovoltaic technology, energy storage systems, and grid-tied systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance data from existing and proposed solar PV installations.
• Develop and utilize simulation tools (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope) to model system output and financial returns.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical due diligence for new solar projects.
• Identify factors affecting system performance, such as shading, soiling, and equipment degradation.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements in solar technology and energy storage.
