Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Social Worker to deliver telehealth social work and counseling across South Africa. The role emphasizes case management, ethical practice, and remote assessment from a home office.

You will support individuals and families via secure online platforms, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to expand access to mental health services.

Qualifications

• MSW degree and SACSSP registration required.
• Minimum 4 years post-qualifying clinical social work experience.
• Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with empathy in virtual care.
• Proficient with EHR systems and digital collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote client assessments via video or phone and develop service plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling through telehealth.
• Offer case management and connect clients with community resources.
• Develop intervention strategies for social and emotional issues.
• Maintain confidential electronic records in compliance with data protection.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals remotely.
• Provide crisis intervention and support via virtual channels.
