Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Social Worker to join a remote-first team serving the Cape Town community. You will provide advanced psychosocial support, case management, and advocacy for individuals and families facing complex challenges.

You will work independently from a home office, collaborate with a remote team of social workers and therapists, and stay current with social work and mental health regulations while delivering psychosocial services online.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited institution.
• Registered as a Social Worker with SACSSP.
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in case management and counseling.
• Proven experience delivering services remotely.
• Excellent virtual communication and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management, assessment, intervention and follow-up services to clients via virtual platforms.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing mental health, social and economic needs.
• Conduct virtual counseling sessions and support groups.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources, liaising with external agencies remotely.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic client records and progress notes.
• Collaborate with a remote team of social workers, therapists, and support staff.
• Participate in regular virtual supervision and team meetings.
• Stay updated on best practices and legislation in social work and mental health.
• Develop and deliver psychoeducational content for online workshops and resources.
• Contribute to remote service delivery model enhancements.
