Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Social Support Specialist to assist communities in Limpopo and beyond. You will provide remote counselling, assess needs via video calls and secure messaging, and link clients to government and health resources.

Working from home, you will maintain confidential digital records, collaborate with a virtual team, and develop personalised support plans to improve social well-being across the province.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
• Professional registration with SACSSP or HPCSA required.
• Experience in direct client support, counselling, or case management.
• Proven ability to work remotely with strong time management.
• Proficiency with telehealth tools and digital records.
• Excellent listening, empathy and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote counselling and emotional support to individuals and families.
• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments via video calls, phone, and secure messaging platforms.
• Develop and implement personalized support plans tailored to individual client needs and circumstances.
• Facilitate connections to relevant online and offline resources, including government services and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and secure digital client records in compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners through virtual channels to ensure integrated client care.
