Placements24 is seeking a visionary Remote Social Impact Lead to shape and drive strategy for community-focused initiatives across South Africa. You will lead complex programs, manage partnerships, and deliver measurable outcomes while working entirely remotely from any location in SA.

You will oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, champion the social mission, and coordinate with diverse stakeholders including NGOs, government, and corporate partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Entrepreneurship, Public Policy, or related field.
• 6+ years experience in leading social impact initiatives, program management, or strategy development.
• Proven track record designing, implementing and evaluating social programs with measurable outcomes.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and negotiation.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks (SDGs, IRIS+).
• Excellent virtual communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and online collaboration platforms.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead remotely.
• Deep commitment to social justice and sustainable development.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social impact strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify, research, and pilot new initiatives to address social and environmental challenges.
• Establish and manage partnerships with non-profits, government agencies, and CSR departments.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of programs with data-driven decisions.
• Lead the development of impact reports and case studies for internal and external audiences.
• Manage program budgets and allocate resources to maximize impact.
• Stay abreast of global best practices in social impact and sustainability.
• Facilitate collaborative workshops and strategy sessions with remote and in-person teams.
• Champion the organization's social mission internally and externally.
