Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Category Manager to lead the Snacks & Confectionery portfolio in a remote-first role. You will develop category strategies, analyze trends, optimize assortment, manage P&L, and collaborate with retail partners and marketing to drive growth.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in FMCG category management, strong analytics, and excellent communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 6+ years in category management, brand management, or trade marketing within FMCG, Snacks & Confectionery.
• Proven track record of driving category growth and achieving P&L objectives.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and understanding of consumer behavior.
• Excellent communication and relationships with key retail partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies to drive profitable growth for Snacks & Confectionery.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and threats.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities to maximize category performance.
• Develop strong relationships with key retail buyers and internal sales teams to drive alignment.
• Collaborate with marketing on brand positioning, new product development, and campaigns.
• Manage the category's P&L, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Conduct competitive analysis and monitor market dynamics for a competitive edge.
• Develop merchandising and promotional plans to optimize in-store execution and engagement.
• Present category performance reviews and strategic plans to senior management.
• Identify and capitalize on emerging consumer trends and snacking occasions.
