Placements24 is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for a fully remote role, developing traffic and mobility solutions for diverse urban and regional contexts.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in transportation engineering, PE registration, and experience with traffic modeling software (VISSIM/Aimsun). You will lead remote collaboration with a global team and mentor junior engineers while delivering data-driven design and reports.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is required. PTP or PTOE certification is a strong asset.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on traffic analysis and design.
• Proven experience managing transportation projects from concept through completion.
• Expertise in traffic modeling software (VISSIM, Aimsun, etc.) and traffic analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, highway design standards, and safety methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively in a virtual setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate within remote multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead planning and design of transportation infrastructure including roadways, intersections, and public transit systems.
• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and safety assessments using specialized software.
• Develop traffic management plans, signal timing strategies, and geometric design solutions.
• Utilize advanced modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO) for traffic simulation and analysis.
• Collaborate virtually with clients, urban planners, architects, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentation for transportation projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices in transportation engineering.
• Stay current with emerging trends in intelligent transportation systems (ITS), autonomous vehicles, and sustainable mobility.
