Responsabilités

About the Role

Our client is a progressive mental health organisation seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Therapist to provide clinical services to individuals seeking support from the comfort of their own homes. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and offering crisis intervention to clients across various age groups and with diverse mental health needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments and psychological evaluations for new and existing clients via secure video conferencing platforms.


• Develop, implement, and manage evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual client needs and goals.


• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilising established therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic).


• Offer crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress or mental health emergencies.


• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation in compliance with professional standards and organisational policies.


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary remote team, including psychiatrists and other therapists, for case consultation and coordinated care.


• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest research, treatment techniques, and ethical guidelines in mental health.


• Ensure adherence to all data privacy and security protocols for remote client interaction and record-keeping.


• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior therapists or interns, if applicable.


• Contribute to the development of remote service protocols and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related clinical mental health field.


• Current and unrestricted professional license (e.g., HPCSA registration as a Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or similar).


• Minimum of 6 years of post-licensure clinical experience providing psychotherapy to diverse populations.


• Proven experience in delivering therapy via telehealth or remote platforms.


• Expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions.


• Excellent understanding of ethical principles and legal requirements governing mental health practice, particularly in a remote context.


• Strong technological aptitude and comfort with various online collaboration and telehealth tools.


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work autonomously, manage a caseload effectively, and maintain strong organisational skills.
