Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to join our remote-first team, driving the design, deployment and optimization of our expansive telecoms network.

You will work with a global engineering group to ensure high availability, implement secure routing (BGP/OSPF/IS-IS), monitor performance, document configurations, and mentor junior engineers in a flexible, home-office setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive network engineering experience, telecoms preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, routing, switching, and security concepts.
• Experience with cloud environments and network automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure network solutions.
• Monitor performance, identify issues, and maintain uptime.
• Create network diagrams and runbooks for a distributed team.
• Collaborate with engineering to support new product deployments.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and mentor junior engineers.
• Foster collaboration in a remote team culture.
