Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecom Network Architect to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design scalable, resilient telecom network solutions, lead architecture roadmaps, and guide engineers across distributed systems in a remote setting.

Requirement: 10+ years in telecom architecture, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and segment routing; experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure; advanced degrees in relevant fields.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in telecom network design and architecture, with a strong focus on service provider networks.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and segment routing.
Extensive experience with virtualization, containerization, and cloud technologies (OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).
Demonstrated ability to architect complex, large-scale distributed systems and high-availability solutions.
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-level network architecture blueprints and roadmaps for current and future telecommunications services.
Lead the design and evaluation of new technologies and solutions, such as 5G core, SDN, and cloud-native network functions.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, and operations teams to define technical requirements and strategies.
Provide expert consultation and technical leadership on complex network design challenges and problem-solving.
Create detailed technical specifications, implementation plans, and best practice guidelines.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
