Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecom Business Analyst to join a fully remote team. You will elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for telecom projects, including network upgrades and service launches, shaping roadmaps and aligning tech investments with business goals.

This remote role is based in the area of Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, but performed entirely remotely. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of BA experience in telecom, strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on the telecommunications industry.
• Proven experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation techniques.
• Strong understanding of telecom products, services, and industry trends (e.g., mobile, broadband, IPTV).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
• Experience with data analysis and modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across various departments, including product, engineering, marketing, and operations.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and process flows.
• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Create detailed business analysis documentation, including use cases, wireframes, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and testing of solutions.
• Validate that delivered solutions meet the defined business requirements and objectives.
• Support the product management team in defining product roadmaps and feature prioritization.
• Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities.
• Contribute to change management processes and assist in user training and documentation.
• Act as a subject matter expert on business processes and system capabilities within the telecom domain.
