Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Telecoms Business Analyst to join a fully remote team and bridge business needs with technical solutions. You will gather requirements, define scopes, and translate them into functional specs for development teams from anywhere within Mossel Bay or beyond.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in telecom BA, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience working remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in telecom.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications products, services, and market dynamics.
• Proficiency with UML, BPMN, and JIRA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; remote-team experience.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications for IT and product teams.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and meetings with clear communication and consensus.
• Develop use cases, user stories, and process flows to illustrate system functionality.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct gap analysis between current and future state processes and systems.
• Assist in validation and testing of implemented solutions to meet requirements.
• Support change management activities and user training efforts.
• Stay informed about telecommunications industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis methodologies and practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field

CBAP certification (or equivalent)
