Placements24 is seeking a Senior Technical Sound Designer for a fully remote role with a renowned game development studio. You will design, implement and optimize immersive audio within major game engines, collaborating with designers, engineers and audio directors to shape the audio vision.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in game audio, expertise in Wwise/FMOD, and proficiency in DAWs. Remote work, strong collaboration skills, and a portfolio of technical sound design are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Sound Designer in games.
• Experience implementing audio directly into a game engine.
• Expertise with Wwise or FMOD.
• Proficiency in DAWs: Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic Pro.
• Strong audio engineering, signal processing, and synthesis.
• Experience with scripting languages (Lua, Python) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration for remote teams.
• Portfolio of technical sound design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize sound effects and audio systems in the game engine.
• Collaborate with designers and audio directors to define the audio vision.
