Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to lead reservoir analysis, modeling, and optimization across complex oil and gas projects. You will mentor junior engineers and guide development strategies within a safety-focused environment.

The role requires a strong background in reservoir simulation (ECLIPSE/CMG/PETREL RE), coupled with expertise in petrophysics and production engineering. A Master's degree is preferred and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization using logs, cores, seismic, and production data.
• Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to predict performance and evaluate strategies.
• Perform decline curve analysis, material balance, and volumetric estimations.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize production.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with geologists, drilling, and production engineers for integrated field development.
• Mentor junior reservoir engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Stay updated with advances in reservoir engineering technologies and best practices.
• Ensure activities comply with policies, standards, and regulations.
