Placements24 in South Africa seeks a seasoned Real Estate Development Manager to lead projects across the Northern Cape, with a strong Kimberley focus. This remote-first role covers land acquisition, feasibility, design, construction, and disposition, and requires coordinating with stakeholders from a preferred location to ensure project success on the ground.

The ideal candidate will have extensive real estate development experience, robust project management skills, and deep market knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, urban planning, civil engineering, or finance.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• 8+ years in real estate development or related field.
• Proven track record across lifecycle from land to disposition.
• Strong knowledge of land use, zoning, permits, and construction management.
• Financial acumen with budgeting, financing, and pro forma analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in remote setting.
• Familiarity with Northern Cape market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate development sites and opportunities in the Northern Cape region.
• Conduct feasibility studies including market analysis, financial projections, and risk assessments.
• Manage acquisition process including negotiation, due diligence, and legal docs.
• Oversee design and planning with architects, engineers, urban planners.
• Supervise construction phase ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Secure permits, approvals, entitlements from authorities.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow.
• Coordinate with investors, lenders, contractors, government agencies, community groups.
• Lead marketing and sales or leasing for completed developments.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting development.
