Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Optimization Engineer for a remote role with periodic travel to regional hubs in North West, South Africa. The role centers on maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and optimizing production facilities using advanced modeling and analysis.

The ideal candidate has a solid production engineering background, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of implementing performance improvements in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in production engineering in Oil & Gas, focused on optimization.
• Expertise in artificial lift systems and production system analysis.
• Experience with production simulation software PROSPER, PIPESIM, OLGA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote teamwork.
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Travel to operational sites occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Analyze well and facility production data to identify underperforming assets.
• Develop and implement artificial lift optimization strategies.
• Perform wellbore performance analysis and troubleshoot issues.
• Use production simulation software to model flow and optimize facilities.
• Evaluate interventions like workovers, stimulations, upgrades.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and operations.
• Monitor KPIs and report performance trends and outcomes.
• Develop best practices for production operations and process safety.
• Stay current with advancements in production technology.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
