Placements24 seeks a Senior Petroleum Engineer for a fully remote role serving assets linked to Gauteng and surrounding regions. You will lead reservoir performance analysis, production optimization, and field development strategies from a remote setting.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in petroleum engineering, expertise in production analysis software, and hands-on experience with ESPs, rod pumps, and gas lift. Remote work requires strong communication and self-motivation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years' progressive experience in petroleum engineering.
• Proficiency in production analysis software and economic modeling tools.
• Experience with artificial lift methods (ESPs, rod pumps, gas lift).
• Ability to work independently and remotely with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir performance and develop production forecasts.
• Identify production optimization opportunities and implement strategies.
• Evaluate artificial lift systems and other enhancement techniques.
• Perform economic evaluations for development and workovers.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geologists remotely.
• Plan and execute well intervention and workover operations.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Develop annual production and cost budgets for assets.
• Stay current with new petroleum engineering technologies.
• Prepare technical reports for management and stakeholders.
