Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Production Optimization Specialist for global oil & gas assets. You will leverage data analytics and modeling to enhance production efficiency and recovery rates from wells and facilities, working with remote teams.

The ideal candidate has a Petroleum Engineering background, at least 6 years in production optimization, and strong data-analysis skills. This remote role offers significant flexibility, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in production engineering or optimization within Oil & Gas.
Proficiency in production data analysis, interpretation and reporting.
Experience with production optimization software (e.g., PROSPER, GAP, Reservoir Simulation).
Strong understanding of artificial lift systems (ESP, rod pumps, gas lift).
Ability to work independently and manage workload in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Analyze production data from wells and facilities to identify performance trends and deviations.
Develop and implement strategies for optimizing production rates and recovery factors.
Utilize production simulation and analytical software to model scenarios and predict outcomes.
Identify operational bottlenecks and propose solutions for improvement.
Collaborate with field engineers and operators to implement optimizations.
Monitor effectiveness of optimization strategies and adjust as necessary.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on production performance and optimization initiatives.
Contribute to development and maintenance of production databases and reporting tools.
Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in production optimization and data analytics.
Support well testing, artificial lift system selection, and performance monitoring.
