Placements24 seeks a Senior Petroleum Engineer specializing in Production Optimization for a fully remote position. You will maximize hydrocarbon recovery, analyze production data, and implement artificial lift and EOR strategies across global assets, collaborating with international teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, conduct economic evaluations, use reservoir simulation tools, and stay ahead of industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years in petroleum engineering focusing on production operations and optimization.
• Expertise in artificial lift systems (ESP, rod pumps, gas lift).
• Experience with production data analysis, well testing, and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency with production engineering software and reservoir simulation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with remote-team experience.
• Ability to manage projects independently in a remote setting.
• Knowledge of EOR methods is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement production enhancement strategies and projects.
• Monitor well and field performance and diagnose issues.
• Conduct economic evaluations of production opportunities.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and operations teams to reach targets.
• Use forecasting and simulation tools to predict performance and evaluate scenarios.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for management.
• Stay updated on new production optimization technologies and best practices.
• Mentor junior petroleum engineers and contribute to team knowledge.
