Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a remote Automotive Systems Engineer specializing in electrification for a forward-thinking automotive technology client. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering with a focus on EV electrification.
• Strong understanding of EV powertrain components (batteries, motors, inverters, chargers).

Responsibilities

• Define system-level requirements for electric vehicle powertrains and subsystems.
• Develop and validate architectures for BMS, EDUs, and power electronics.
• Perform simulations and analyses (thermal, electrical, performance) to optimize designs.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and mechanical teams for system integration.
• Develop and execute system integration test plans using HIL and vehicle testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues, identifying root causes and fixes.
• Contribute to charging system integration strategies and standards.
• Stay updated with trends in automotive electrification and energy storage.
• Create technical documentation including specs, test reports and design reviews.
• Communicate project status to remote team members and stakeholders.
