Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Security Analyst for a fully remote role. You will monitor networks, analyze threats, and implement security controls to protect digital assets for a global client base.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network security, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar, and relevant certifications. This remote-first position offers a competitive package and opportunities for certification funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in cybersecurity or CS.
• At least 5 years in network security analysis.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S.
• Experience with SIEM (Splunk/QRadar) and IDS/IPS.
• Firewall and VPN configuration experience.
• Security certifications such as CISSP/CEH/CompTIA Security+ desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network activity for breaches and malicious activity.
• Analyze security alerts and logs from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents with containment strategies.
• Manage network security controls: firewalls, VPNs, ACLs.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and pen testing.
• Develop and update security policies and procedures.
• Stay current on threats and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security improvements.
• Provide security awareness training to staff.
• Document incidents, investigations, and resolutions.
