Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Security Specialist to join a remote-first cybersecurity team. You will design, deploy, and maintain robust security solutions to protect expansive enterprise networks and data, collaborating with IT and engineering colleagues from anywhere.

The role emphasizes hands-on security device management (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet), cloud security concepts, and incident response, with a strong focus on learning and professional development in a fully remote

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of network security experience in enterprise environments.
• In-depth knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and SIEM.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet devices.
• Cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure) understanding.
• Strong grasp of cyberattack vectors and mitigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Eligible for remote collaboration in a distributed team.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC or equivalent are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy, and manage network security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs and WAFs.
• Monitor network traffic for security breaches and suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of network infrastructure.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents with timely remediation and post-incident analysis.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to embed security in network design and operations.
• Stay current with security threats, vulnerabilities and technologies.
• Provide expert guidance on network security matters to stakeholders.
• Contribute to security awareness training programs.
