Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Security Analyst to join a cutting-edge cybersecurity team in a fully remote role. You will monitor, detect, and respond to threats affecting critical telecommunications infrastructure, while implementing robust security controls.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network security, deep TCP/IP knowledge, and hands-on use of SIEM, firewalls, and vulnerability tools. Certifications such as CISSP/CCSP/GIAC are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of network security, incident response, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and architectures.
• Hands-on with security tools: SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners.
• Certs such as CISSP/CCSP/GIAC are desirable.
• Experience scripting (Python/Bash) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and manage priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network activity for security breaches and intrusions using SIEM and tools.
• Investigate alerts and incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement remediation.
• Develop and maintain network security policies, procedures and standards.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDPS, and other security devices.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Stay updated on cyber threats and mitigation techniques.
• Deliver security awareness training to employees.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering to integrate security into network design.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, incidents, and procedures.
