Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Security Analyst to join a remote cybersecurity team. You will protect a vast network, lead threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management across all layers, leveraging SIEM, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.

This role offers remote collaboration and exposure to advanced security technologies. The position emphasizes strong analytical skills, clear communication, and a proactive approach to safeguarding services while working with cross-functional IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network security analysis and incident response.
• Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proficiency in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing methodologies.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+ desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and investigative skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with remote team experience.

Responsabilités

• Monitor network traffic and security logs for threats using SIEM and security tools.
• Investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across the network.
• Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Develop and update security policies and procedures.
• Provide security awareness training to internal teams.
• Stay current with cybersecurity threats and trends.
• Collaborate with network engineering to embed security best practices.
