Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), EDR, and network security tools.
• Strong OS security knowledge (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
• Relevant security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, GIAC) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and refine security monitoring and incident response playbooks.
• Analyze threat intelligence and advise on defensive strategies.
• Collaborate with IT and system admins to implement security enhancements.
• Contribute to security policy development and documentation.
• Participate in security architecture reviews and provide recommendations.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Mentor junior analysts and share security knowledge.
