Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Scientist in Molecular Biology to lead cutting-edge research from a remote setting. You will design and execute complex experiments, drive project progression, and contribute to novel therapeutic approaches with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D., 6+ years post-PhD experience, and expert-level skills in CRISPR-Cas9, qPCR, Western blotting, and recombinant DNA.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on research experience in molecular biology post-Ph.D.
• Extensive experience with CRISPR-Cas9, qPCR, Western blotting, and recombinant DNA technology.
• Proven ability to manage research projects independently and deliver results.
• Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to data interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in remote collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and independently conduct complex molecular biology experiments, including gene editing, cloning, and protein expression studies.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, drawing robust conclusions and identifying next steps.
• Develop and optimize novel molecular biology assays and protocols to enhance research efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with a remote team of scientists, project managers, and collaborators via digital platforms.
• Prepare detailed reports, scientific presentations, and potentially contribute to manuscript preparation.
• Maintain comprehensive records of experiments, data, and results in compliance with company standards.
