Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements and operational excellence across manufacturing facilities. The role is primarily remote, with close collaboration with on-site teams to analyze, design, and implement enhancements to production processes.

You will focus on optimizing efficiency, quality, and cost reduction, supporting operations near Upington from a flexible, remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or similar roles with a proven track record of process improvement.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, waste reduction, and quality improvement.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Design and optimize production line layouts and workflows.
• Collaborate virtually with site engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
• Lead projects focused on new product introduction and optimization of existing systems.
• Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technologies and best practices.
