Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a fully remote role within South Africa. You will lead digital transformation programs, aligning scope, budgets, timelines, and resources with business goals while managing distributed teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in IT project management, 5+ in senior roles, strong Agile/DevOps experience, and relevant certifications (PMP/Prince2/Agile). Remote work, competitive compensation, and extensive development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive IT project management experience, with at least 5 years in senior digital transformation roles.
Proven track record in delivering large-scale projects in financial services or similar industries.
Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies and SDLC.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution, and delivery of strategic digital transformation projects (system modernizations, cloud migrations, platform development).
Manage scope, budgets, timelines, and resources; align with business objectives.
Foster relationships with stakeholders across business and tech units; manage risks and issues.
Promote Agile and DevOps practices to improve speed and quality of delivery.
Coach and mentor teams to build a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Ensure deliverables meet quality, security, and compliance standards; report to senior leadership.
