Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to spearhead critical digital transformation initiatives. This is a fully remote, remote-first position, offering the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere within South Africa.

You will be instrumental in guiding complex projects from inception through to successful delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. You will lead cross-functional teams, navigate stakeholder landscapes, and drive improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Business Administration).
• 7+ years of progressive project management experience with a focus on digital transformation or IT projects.
• Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary projects in a remote setting.
• Strong knowledge of PMP, PRINCE2, and Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Jira, Asana, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience in remote-first environments is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of complex digital transformation projects from planning to closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, resources and risk management.
• Facilitate communication among diverse teams and senior leadership for alignment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues with proactive solutions.
• Manage project budgets and resource allocation to optimize assets.
• Drive adoption of agile and/or hybrid PM methodologies to enhance delivery.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and implement lessons learned.
