Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Project Manager to lead technology integration initiatives for a SA-based client. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere in South Africa while guiding distributed engineering and IT teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

You will define scope, manage risks, align with stakeholders, and report to senior management. The ideal candidate has a computer science/engineering background, 8+ years in PM with 5+ in tech

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years in technology integration or complex IT projects.
• Proven experience leading remote or distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of technology stacks and integration methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration in virtual environments.
• Proficiency with agile methodologies and PM software (Jira, Confluence, Asana).

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of technology integration projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of assets.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and IT specialists, in a remote setting.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactively.
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication among all project participants and stakeholders, leveraging virtual collaboration tools.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry best practices, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for technology solutions.
• Provide regular progress updates and detailed reports to senior management.
