Placements24 is assisting a prominent financial institution in seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for a fully remote audit team. The role emphasises risk management, internal controls, and governance, with audits conducted across departments in a remote-first environment.

The ideal candidate will possess IIA standards, regulatory knowledge, and robust data-analytic capabilities to strengthen financial integrity and resilience.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field.
• CIA, CA(SA), CISA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• 5-7 years of progressive internal audit or risk management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of IIA standards and audit methodologies.
• Experience with data analytics tools for audit purposes.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations impacting financial services.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage audit projects independently in a remote setting.

• Plan, execute, and document internal audits across business units and functions.
• Assess internal controls and identify weaknesses with remediation actions.
• Evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans.
• Conduct financial, operational, and IT audits as required.
• Prepare clear audit reports for management and audit committee.
• Follow up on findings to ensure remediation is completed.
