Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a proactive and analytical Internal Auditor for a fully remote role with an international financial services provider. You will plan and execute audits, assess internal controls, and identify improvements across departments.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Auditing, professional certification such as CIA, CISA or CA(SA) is preferred, and at least four years of audit or risk experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field is required.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CA(SA), or CISA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive internal audit plans based on risk assessments.
• Conduct detailed audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes across various departments.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying control weaknesses and recommending remediation actions.
• Assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform data analysis to identify anomalies, trends, and potential areas of risk or inefficiency.
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate audit reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Follow up on the implementation status of audit recommendations with management.
• Stay abreast of emerging risks, regulatory changes, and best practices in internal auditing.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function's methodologies and tools.
