Placements24, a fintech client, seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen risk management, controls, and governance across the organization through planning and execution of audits. This remote-first role enables you to work from anywhere in South Africa, emphasizing independent thinking, strong analytics, and clear communication in a virtual environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is required; CISA, CA(SA), or ACCA are advantageous.
• 5-7 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management.
• Solid understanding of COSO risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Experience in financial services or technology sector preferred.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to engage with all levels.
• Proficiency in audit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
• High integrity and professional skepticism.

• Plan, perform, and report on internal audits of processes, systems, and controls.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management and governance processes.
• Identify control deficiencies and areas of non-compliance.
• Develop practical, cost‑effective remediation recommendations.
