Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CA(SA) or CISA is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in internal or external auditing.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and risk management principles.
• Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools.
• Excellent report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple audit projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills across all staff levels.
• Self-starter, highly organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Demonstrated objectivity and professional skepticism.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan and standards.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Identify control deficiencies, operational inefficiencies, and areas of non-compliance.
• Develop practical and cost-effective recommendations to address audit findings.
• Follow up on the implementation of management's action plans to remediate issues.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports for senior management and the audit committee.
• Build strong working relationships with auditees and stakeholders across the organisation.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and best practices in internal auditing.
• Conduct special investigations and reviews as requested by management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
