Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer to join a leading online education provider. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere in South Africa, including Port Elizabeth.

You will design and develop engaging e-learning courses and collaborate with SMEs, curriculum developers, and multimedia specialists to translate complex content into impactful learning experiences. You will apply ADDIE or SAM models, create storyboards, scripts, assessments and job aids,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of instructional design experience with a strong portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, engaging e-learning courses and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with SMEs to analyze learning needs and define objectives.
• Create storyboards, scripts, job aids, assessments, and other learning resources.
• Apply adult learning principles and ID models (ADDIE, SAM).
• Integrate multimedia elements to enhance engagement and comprehension.
• Develop evaluation strategies to measure learning effectiveness.
• Manage multiple projects, meeting timelines and quality standards.
• Stay current with trends in instructional design and e-learning.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
