Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to join a globally distributed, fully remote security team. You will actively monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber threats, safeguarding sensitive data and IT infrastructure from home offices worldwide.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in information security with strong SIEM/EDR experience, scripting ability (Python/PowerShell), and excellent problem-solving and communication skills for independent work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in information security focusing on operations and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring tools.
• Scripting for automation (Python/PowerShell) preferred.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and alerts in real-time to identify incidents.
• Analyze security events, determine root causes, impact and remediation steps.
• Develop and refine security monitoring rules and playbooks.
• Conduct threat hunting to discover and mitigate advanced threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls.
• Support security awareness and incident response planning.
