This senior position offers the autonomy to drive investigations, analysis, and design from a home office, while mentoring junior engineers across the country.

Qualificações

• Master's degree or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive geotechnical experience with lead/senior capacity.
• Extensive experience with Plaxis, GeoStudio, SLOPE/W.
• Strong knowledge of soil/rock mechanics and foundation engineering.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and managing multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and lab testing coordination.
• Perform advanced geotechnical analysis for foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks.
• Develop detailed geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and construction specs.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and clients to integrate findings.
• Conduct peer reviews of designs and reports.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and international best practices.
• Stay updated with geotechnical software and methods.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and client communication in a remote environment.
• Contribute to business development via proposals and client meetings.
