Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Geoscientist specializing in Seismic Interpretation to join a fully remote exploration team. You will analyze seismic data to identify hydrocarbon prospects and support regional development projects, working independently while collaborating virtually with geologists and reservoir engineers.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or PhD in Geology or Geophysics, 10+ years in seismic interpretation for Oil & Gas, and proficiency with Petrel and Kingdom Suite.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of seismic interpretation experience in Oil & Gas exploration.
• Proficiency with Petrel and Kingdom Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive seismic data interpretation and mapping to identify prospects and play concepts.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and other geological information.
• Utilize advanced geological and geophysical software for data processing and visualization.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to de-risk exploration opportunities.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for management and joint venture partners.
• Contribute to the development of regional geological models and play fairway analyses.
