The role requires strong leadership, deep power systems knowledge, and a proven track record delivering complex engineering programs via remote collaboration.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
- 10+ years of progressive electric utility experience in grid modernization.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of smart grid technologies, including SCADA, AMI, and distribution automation.
- Develop strategies for integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage into the grid.
- Perform advanced power system studies, including transient and voltage stability analysis.
- Provide technical guidance on grid modernization projects to teams and stakeholders.
- Develop technical specifications for new grid equipment and technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers on grid modernization projects.
