Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• 10+ years of progressive electric utility experience in grid modernization.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of smart grid technologies, including SCADA, AMI, and distribution automation.
• Develop strategies for integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage into the grid.
• Perform advanced power system studies, including transient and voltage stability analysis.
• Provide technical guidance on grid modernization projects to teams and stakeholders.
• Develop technical specifications for new grid equipment and technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers on grid modernization projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the electric utility industry, with a focus on grid modernization.
• Extensive knowledge of power system analysis tools and software (e.g., PSS/E, EMTP-RV).
• Proven experience with smart grid technologies, microgrids, and distributed generation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and virtual team management skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
